Leonard Pack
of counsel
Trained as a corporate, securities and transactional lawyer, Leonard Pack brings a practical business law background both to his business clients and to his employment law practice.
Mr. Pack represents C-Suite executives, senior portfolio managers and analysts, and other key employees in employment matters in a wide range of businesses, including financial services, hedge and private equity fund management, investment banking, insurance, television, cable network and digital entertainment industries, as well as senior managers at prominent not-for-profit museums and other organizations. He advises companies and executives in partnership and joint venture transactions and dissolutions, purchases and sales of businesses, and ongoing business and contractual matters.
Mr. Pack is ranked AV Preeminent, the highest peer review rating standard by Martindale Hubble.
Mr. Pack has worked closely with David Wechsler on high profile FINRA, JAMS and AAA arbitrations for financial services employees. A victory for three clients at Merrill Lynch was featured in a front-page article in The Wall Street Journal.
Mr. Pack’s recent business representations include the sellers of a taxicab fleet, the CEOs of a digital advertising company and an electronic trading platform, and a major insurance producer in the sale/reorganization of their businesses, two portfolio managers in a joint venture with a larger investment advisory firm, a prestigious jewelry company, a renowned catering company, and a public relations firm.
Prior to returning to private practice, Mr. Pack was Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Orion Pictures Corporation, and, before that position, Corporate Secretary and Associate General Counsel of Metromedia, Inc., both NYSE-listed public companies. In both positions, Mr. Pack worked on significant financial transactions, SEC reporting, purchases and sales of businesses, and was involved with numerous aspects of corporate governance and Board and Audit Committee matters. After graduating from Columbia Law School, he served as law clerk to Circuit Judge Harold Leventhal on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
Mr. Pack is admitted to the bar of New York, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, District of Columbia Circuit.
