HSW Promotes Daniel Grossman, Continues Adding to Multidisciplinary Team
January 20, 2023
Harris St. Laurent & Wechsler LLP has promoted Daniel Grossman to counsel, while also adding three new hires to the firm’s multidisciplinary team.
“Daniel’s employment and commercial law work at Harris St. Laurent & Wechsler has been first rate, including a recent win at the Second Circuit,” said managing partner Jonathan Harris. “This is a well-earned next step in his career.”
Grossman is an experienced litigator and advisor to employee and company clients in a wide range of employment matters, including contract negotiations, compensation and discrimination disputes, restrictive covenants, investigations, and employment policies and practices, with a focus on professionals in financial services. He also handles a variety of complex commercial and insurance coverage disputes and has extensive experience in both state and federal court, as well as alternative dispute resolution forums such as FINRA, AAA, and JAMS.
The firm also recently welcomed Sandeep Puri, Juannell Riley, and Courtney Emmanuel.
Sandeep Puri joined the firm in October 2022. His hiring highlights HSW's emphasis on building out a multidisciplinary team for the firm’s clients. Prior to joining HSW, Puri was a long-time management consultant for The Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey and Deloitte. He was also the co-founder of a start-up company in the insurance sector, which was purchased by another company. Puri joins the firm as an attorney after graduating from law school as his third career. He also serves as Director of Business Development.
Jay Riley joined the firm as an associate in November 2022. A graduate of Columbia Law School, Riley adds to HSW’s strengths in litigation and employment matters. His experience encompasses contract and employment disputes, including successfully defending a hedge fund against wrongful termination claims.
Courtney Emmanuel joined in 2022 with more than five years of experience as a paralegal, including most recently serving in the New York County District Attorney’s Office.
These hires follow noted executive compensation attorney Steven Eckhaus joining the firm as a partner in September 2022.
