Barry J. Pollack, Addy R. Schmitt Recognized by Super Lawyers for 2024

Super Lawyers has named Harris St. Laurent & Wechsler LLP partner Barry J. Pollack to its Washington, D.C. Top 100 list for the fourth consecutive year and included him in the 2024 guide. The ratings group also listed D.C. managing partner Addy R. Schmitt as a 2024 Washington, D.C. Super Lawyer. Pollack has appeared in Super Lawyers since 2007, while Schmitt makes her Super Lawyers debut this year.

Pollack and Schmitt joined HSW in 2023 to launch the firm’s D.C. office.

Super Lawyers, part of Thomson Reuters, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.

Pollack is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Fellow of the American Board of Criminal Lawyers and a past president of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is widely recognized as one of the leading trial lawyers in the country. Pollack represents corporations and individuals, including business professionals and high-ranking state and federal government officials, in sensitive and often headline-making criminal and government investigations, enforcement actions, criminal trials, complex commercial litigation and internal investigations.

Schmitt is the managing partner of the firm’s D.C. office and a current board member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Schmitt focuses her practice on white-collar criminal matters, representing corporations and individuals in complex, high-profile investigations and prosecutions, including those involving allegations of bribery, tax and securities fraud, money laundering and antitrust violations. Schmitt also has extensive civil litigation experience and represents clients in False Claims Act cases, employment disputes and other commercial litigation cases.
