January 16, 2025

NEW YORK and WASHINGTON, D.C. — Leading litigation, employment and white-collar defense boutique Harris St. Laurent & Wechsler LLP has promoted Daniel Grossman to partner and Jaclyn Newman to counsel, effective Jan. 1. That caps a year of unprecedented demand for the firm's services across its three core practice areas.

“Daniel and Jaclyn have earned this. They embody the dedication and skill that HSW is looking for," managing partner Jonathan Harris said. “Developing and advancing talent is a huge part of our success and an on-going commitment to everyone who joins our firm in any position."

Grossman is a member of the firm's employment group, advising clients on contracts, separations, compensation and discrimination claims, and restrictive covenant disputes. He often represents clients in the financial services industry, including recently in two successful FINRA arbitrations and a New York Commercial Division bench trial. Grossman is a graduate of Rutgers Law School, where he was on the Rutgers Law Review and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.

Newman is a litigator in the firm’s New York office, advising on high-stakes commercial disputes and pre-dispute counseling. She graduated cum laude from Cornell Law School, where she was acquisitions editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy and bench editor of the Moot Court Board. Prior to joining HSW, she was part of a trial team that achieved a $666 million arbitration award for a Fortune 500 IT leader in a post-merger dispute.
